Author’s Notes
… diplomats build bridges
When I pulled this stone, the word bridges lit in my mind. I saw a central figure clasping the hands of two others, one on either side. Instantly, that middle figure became a bridge — long before I knew the stone’s name or meaning.
This stone is called Diplomat. Carol Lee Campbell, creator of the Crone Stones, offers a question worth holding:
Is the person in the middle uniting the two ends, or are the people on the ends pulling apart the one in the middle?
The person in the middle is the interpreter, the translator — the one trying to help two sides truly hear each other.
So this stone speaks of a bridge — of closing the distance, of finding the courage to reach across the divide.
Diplomat
I need to reach the other side, to repair the yesterday. The world is watching, wanting peace— must be a simple way. The creek is flowing spring release. I must reach the other side. I am going. You are coming. We cannot hang on pride Come with me. Join with me. We all are one among. All are heroes — none are free. A story yet so young. We’ve earned the mud upon our feet. Do not let it wash in vain. Rubbles fall. Bubbles call. Cold waters rush to claim. We need a bridge. We build a bridge. Reach your hand for mine. One by one, we cross the creek. We build until we find. There is a way to yesterday. We only need a view — a short remind what’s left behind Finds its way to you.

Every bridge begins with one step and one outstretched hand.
How do you bridge the gap—or pull people together?

beautiful - I love the connection in this poem. The best thing I have to offer others is to listen to them - to offer a safe space for them to be themselves. I also put my energy into relationships where people do this for me.
