Echoes from the Wander: August 04 - 10, 2025
Hello August and approaching dog days. You, dear reader, are definitely cool, but I hope, if you’re in a summer heat zone, you’re taking care not to cook yourself. Stay inside and read … or write … or be cool.
If you missed anything last week—or feel called to revisit something—here’s a recap of where we wandered last week, and a good guess of where we might stumble this week.
For the week of August 04 - 10, 2025
Echo One: What Was
Last Week’s Romps:
Phaiku No. 7 - Synesthesia - “Some messages are not meant to be read. Not spoken, not heard, not touched—not in the way we were taught to divide the world.”
Not familiar with Phaiku? Check out my introduction here → Introducing Phaiku.
The Echo of the Unspoken - Writing inherited memory in fiction—a follow-up to epigenetics.
Wednesday Whimsy #15 - The Muse Field Study - PART THREE: Mutual Recognition (or Something Like that) - “She arrived without warning. No metaphor, no knock. Just elbows on the desk, knees in the chair, and teeth on the corner of a forgotten draft. The field study concludes... or pretends to.”
Crone’s Cairn: Reality Check - inspired by the Daydreamer stone.
Starwoven: Hear My Call - Episode Five—The Keeper of the Stars
Starwoven: Hear My Call - INDEX - access the episodes as they become released or find access to the complete PDF version. Check out the latest addition to the bonus content—The Issi Smash™.
Echo Two: What’s Growing
It’s been a wild week in some wonderful ways, but this coming week … well, we’ll just see. Here’s what might be sprouting up in the days ahead.
Phaiku No. 8 - more than even I imagined, syllable count ???
Perhaps a look at the temptations of tangents.
Wednesday Whimsy - #16: The Muse Meets Issi?! You won’t want to miss this one.

Echo Three: What’s Calling You?
How are we doing?
Are you pondering … wandering … wondering? It’s not busy work; it’s soul work.
I’m still listening. What do I hear? Let me know—if you are so inclined.
I’m honored to have you wander along.
Always,
Jennifer

I've gotten behind on Starwoven, so I'll need to catch up soon. As for me, I'm finding my way back into that strange place where technical and creative work meet, sometimes amicably and sometimes not!
