Faith Taunts

Stories often turn on a choice: between home and horizon, duty and desire, silence and song. Yet the harder truth is that the choice is never simple. Guilt follows whichever path is taken, and faith waits not as reward but as paradox. Like a huntress pursued by her own shadow, we are goaded onward by what we cannot name.

loyalty … pursuit

guilt shadows indecision

faith taunts the huntress

The huntress stands where passion meets uncertainty, and it is there that Kierkegaard locates faith.

Perhaps faith is not comfort but provocation — not the answer we cling to, but the question that will not release us.
