Phaiku No. 2
Inspired by shifting borders and the broken symbols we mistake for truth.
Author’s Note:
This phaiku was initially inspired by Alfred Korzybski’s insight: “The map is not the territory.” However, it quickly evolved with recollection of a Mexican Proverb:
“They tried to bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds.”
And at this point I could not un-write what I felt in my bones.

Cracked
Inspired by shifting borders and the broken symbols we mistake for truth.
parchment path unwalked
crumpled bias cracks the sky
Her truth weeps again
