Phaiku No. 6
"... parallel[ing] the development of a brain fallen into Alice in Wonderland."
What the Tiny Cluster of Brain Cells in My Lab Are Telling Me—written in 2022, but only came to my attention earlier this month and perhaps one of the most fascinating articles I have ever read. Although, I probably say that about most neuroscience topics.
It’s a great read, but if you’re short on time, I think my Phaiku No. 6 sums it up quite succinctly. It also shows that undeniable relationship between art, i.e. poetry, and science.
In essence the article describes communication type signals produced by skin cells that were transformed to into brain organoids—gross oversimplification, but something to ponder. At least, for me, it was.
