Phaiku No. 7
Inspired by World Beyond the Song
The Biet Lagos are a non-human, star-born species whose way of being defies conventional understanding.
They do not communicate with words, nor even with what most would call language.
Instead, they resonate—through waves of sound, light, movement, and emotion, woven together like threads in a tapestry that can only be felt to be understood.
To encounter them is not to meet a mind, but to enter a song. A song shaped by memory, grief, color, and silence.
Their presence is not loud. But once heard, it changes the shape of what listening means.

She didn’t learn their language.
She remembered how to feel it.
Intro for Phaiku No. 7: Synesthesia
Some messages are not meant to be read. Not spoken, not heard, not touched—not in the way we were taught to divide the world.
The Biet Lagos do not communicate through language. They communicate through resonance—through the weaving of sense upon sense, emotion into color, meaning into motion, until all becomes one note, held gently between worlds.
This Phaiku is not explanation.
It is echo.
Phaiku No. 7
Synesthesia
the sound of a harp
psychonautical colors
sight through sound through self

This sounds like a cool way to communicate and may work much better than any human language seems to do. With any language, we just can't quite convey what we mean sometimes but with a language of just feeling, I can see how that would help to connect each other on a deeper level. Excellent post, JL.
Thanks, this resonated with me…
