A story ends when it feels satisfying, when a major goal is achieved or the conflict is resolved. But it ends when you decide that it ends.
I suppose a story may end when someone decides - whether storyteller or listener. Yet I also imagine a story never truly ends. Perhaps someone else takes it up, perhaps it’s simply wrapped differently and re-gifted. Or perhaps I just wax poetic. ◡̈
