reviews welcome as we journey deeper

STARWOVEN on Amazon
Greetings favorite wanderers!
My presence on Wander Words may have felt a bit lighter this past week — not absent, just … quieter.
It was a heavy week, but I did manage one bright victory. I finally finagled my beloved Starwoven into the world as an ebook.
If you’ve read it (or plan to), I would dearly love if you dropped a review on Amazon — good, bad, or indifferent. Reviews not only help me grow as a writer, but they also help increase the visibility of the world I’m building — World Beyond the Song and its sequels.
Enough of that self-promotion stuff … always a bit uncomfortable.
I’m grateful for this peaceful corner of my world — and for your place in it.
Last week’s waddles:
Phaiku No. 14: A Phaiku Written in Threlraan — a satisfying dive into writing haiku and transliterating it into an invented alien language.
Starwoven - Episode 12: Where I Begin - stories never really end, do they? See how Red has been preparing you for World Beyond the Song.
Wednesday Whimsy #22 - the second part of my journalistic coverage of unlikely roommates: a courageous woman and a lonely dolphin.
Writing the Light (Crafting the Whale’s Tongue series) - exploring why any species might feel compelled to capture thoughts in written form, and how that looks a little different for the Biet Lagos.
Whale’s Song Echoes: Margaret Howe Lovatt and the Longing to Speak - an unplanned essay that became one of the most personal I’ve written. Lovatt’s interspecies communication efforts are remarkable, and I may one day attempt a full biographical piece. (That shouldn’t surprise you. ☺️)
This week … yikes!
This week, I’m playing it loosely — no firm commitments. I’ll likely follow the usual rhythm, but I’m also preparing to sink my teeth into some serious long-form writing over the next couple of months.
With Threlraan taking shape and the world of Talamh Ru stirring to life, much of my attention is turning back to World Beyond the Song. Believe it or not, that project has been my main reason for being here on Substack.
But don’t think for a moment I’m going into seclusion. I’ll still be around with my usual antics — perhaps a bit scaled back (though “scaling back” hardly sounds like me).
So hang with me. Let’s see where we go. Besides, I just picked up three new bottles of whiskey/whisky to sample, and I’d rather not ‘sample’ alone.

Nice, congrats!
Congratulations on getting the ebook out there! 🎉
