Echoes from the Wander
02 February 2026
Brrrrr...
Yes—it’s snow and ice… for real this time. The chill is lingering.
Still, I’m warmed by the response to last week’s assorted ponders. Thank you for meeting them with such generous attention.
Last Week
I’m grateful for your enthusiasm around my ongoing curiosity about the relationship between mathematics and poetry. You welcomed Fibonacci Poetry with wide-open arms.
I have one Fib ready for the upcoming April 1st anniversary, and I find myself challenged to write another beyond the “21” mark. Time will tell.
Several of you have already shared your own Fibs—thank you. There’s still plenty of time if you’d like yours considered for the anniversary post. If you’d like a refresher on what defines a Fib, you can revisit Fibonacci Poetry.
I remain intrigued by how ancient people listened to the sky—and how sky-listening gave rise to poetry. That reflection continued in Tuesday’s poem, Return.
Wednesday brought an addition to the sketchboard—an evolving thread for those who enjoy following things as they take shape. You can find that here: Wednesday.
I closed the week with a phaiku that resisted me until I finally yielded—a true ponder that still lingers at the edges: Diametric Gaze.
And now—onward.
What’s ahead
For those of you who have been with me for a while, the name will be familiar, though the work itself has grown and shifted: AuthorKind Archetypes.
This re-imagining emerges directly from my own writer’s journey—walking alongside ancient observers, reconsidering what it means to write with intention, attention, and care. Once I committed to the direction, the pieces came together with surprising ease, as if they had been waiting.
Beginning today, I’ll be sharing an installment each day—Monday through Saturday. I appreciate your indulgence during this six-day stretch; the material is best encountered in close succession.
If you experienced the original AuthorKind Archetypes, I think you’ll find this version both unexpected and rewarding.
That’s the shape of the week ahead—along with Wednesday’s contribution and any spontaneous Notes that arise from wonder doing what it does best.
I love sharing this work with you, and I’m always curious where your own wandering takes you.
Until next we meet—wander well.
