Echoes from the Wander
13 October 2025
Perhaps next week …
I will be back in the rhythm of whimsy and phaiku, but this past week I have treated myself to some soul work with my novel.
Oh, the things we can think when we allow our words to run free on the page …
Last week …
I shared a poem that sprang from that place between awake and asleep: philo - a waking spell and continued the series Crafting the Whale’s Tongue with: Translating the Untranslatable. I enjoy writing about my process and how I see the role of words in our world.
This week …
There will be another essay for Crafting the Whale’s Tongue, as that series winds down, perhaps not much more as I allow myself a little more dalliance WBTS.
John Steinbeck once observed, “In the writing of a novel, when you are in command, then you are not writing well. It is when the story takes charge that things begin to happen.”
This week, World Beyond the Song remains in charge.
Thank you for giving me the space to listen.
Be well.

How exciting! I'm glad you're heeding the pull of the work and making progress! 🎉
Seems like you have a process that's working for you.
