One shell—
freed.
He cast it—
upward.
A name—
returned.
Wind answered—
not violent.
Witnessing.
Another.
Name—
after name.
Release—
not light.
Pain—
given back.
He did not stop—
because he could not.
She watched—
from within herself.
Choice—
arriving.
Storm—
or surrender.
Shells fell—
not his alone.
Hers.
Her people—
unheld at last.
